So we've been a little quiet over the last few weeks, it's been a difficult time for us all but now we are adapting to staying at home and social distancing to prevent the spread of Covid19 the need for a strong Hardway community was never greater.
Our VE Day fete might be postponed on May 8th, but plans are in place to decorate Hardway area with bunting to mark the occasion and we very much hope that the fete will take place later in the year once social distancing measures permit.
In order that this landmark day does not pass by without us marking the occasion it is planned for Bunting to be placed around the area and hopefully as many of you as possible will join in by flying bunting from your homes or displaying decorations in your windows to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day over the weekend 8th-10th May.
If you are looking for an activity to do with your children there's some great ideas for Great British Bunting for VE Day commemorations on the BBC website
At this difficult time please continue to look out for your neighbours and vulnerable people in our community and if further help is needed please do contact us so we can put you in touch with an organisation or individual who can assist.
In the meantime, Friends of Hardway remains committed to our key aim to promote Hardway community involvement.
